Sleepy Hollow Hotel, a Dolce by Wyndham

The food was mostly good, though it didn’t feel chef-level. We also learned the advertised rate was for a parking-lot view, with taxes added on top. Our room was next to a private event Saturday night, with loud music going until midnight. Friday night, kids were screaming and there was noise until midnight, then it started up again at 7 a.m. We’d left our kids for the first time hoping for a peaceful Shabbat and a chance to catch up on sleep, so that was a real disappointment. We got there three hours before the zman, but even though the room was ready, they wouldn’t let us check in early. We had to wait in the lobby for an hour. This might suit families who don’t mind noise, but I wouldn’t recommend it to couples looking for a quiet Shabbat getaway.

The team made hosting the ReFinance Summit at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel a smooth experience. The venue was excellent, and the staff handled all the moving parts of a large conference with warmth, professionalism, and a great attitude. Julie Shlomo and the whole team were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. They were responsive, accommodating, and clearly cared about making our event a success. We really valued the partnership and look forward to working with them again.

The front desk clerk was kind and let me have a late checkout because of my babys schedule. But that’s not a reason to book here. The elevator has apparently been broken for months, based on reviews I’ve read, and it was still out of order. The hotel advertises a spa, but there isn’t one. Past the gorgeous lobby, the carpet is about the only new thing in the hallway. The rooms felt barely above dingy motel level. There was a blood stain on the sheets and mold on the bathroom ceiling. Don’t recommend.

The restaurant is excellent, and Yashieka at the front desk was helpful with everything. The public areas are cool, and the inner garden is beautiful in spring. The rooms are dated, but they were clean. The heating and AC system seems messed up, so you can’t control the temperature. They host some really noisy groups, though otherwise it’s calm.
