Regency Inn

The room had decent space, and shops and restaurants were close enough to walk to, but the bathroom was tiny, the fridge sat on the luggage rack, and the Wi-Fi was awful. Problems kept piling up: I found hair in the drain on night three, and it wasn’t ours. By night four the tub paint was peeling, and after heavy rain, water leaked in several feet from the window. On the sixth night I was getting bitten by fleas once a night, even though I don’t have furry pets. Then on day eight, workers started construction in the room across from my bed while I was napping. Nobody warned me, and it scared me awake.

My mother-in-law stayed here and told me she was scared to go outside because of what she saw going on, including sex workers and drug deals. A fresh coat of paint and a few updates won’t change what’s really happening there.

We had a one-night stay and no problems. The room fit three of us and our dog, and the staff were friendly. They also helped us get a room when we were dealing with an emergency move.

The beds were nice, the Wi-Fi was good, and I could park my truck. I liked being next to Taco Bell too, since I didn’t have to drive anywhere to get food. Pretty good for what I paid.
