The fall colors are gorgeous, and it’s a beautiful location, but the noise was ridiculous. There’s one bed in the kitchen area, and both nights we got only about two hours of sleep because people outside were laughing loudly and howling until after 2 a.m. They need signs asking people to keep quiet after 11 p.m. We won’t return because of the noise.
It was clean, quiet, and not unattractive, and I can see how it might suit skiers. But calling this an apartment or condo is misleading: it’s a decent-sized hotel room with a king bed and a kitchenette that has only a small fridge and microwave. At $279 a night, that was okay, but there’s no one to help with check-in and no housekeeping. We knew that before booking, and choices during the Festival were limited. The directions could have been clearer. The gondola is nearby, but the ride to town takes almost 15 minutes and gets tiring if you go back and forth a lot. The bed and pillows were lumpy, there was only a small closet for clothes, and the room had plenty of decorative things but little that was functional.
The place looked beautiful, but my unit wasn’t clean. The bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom carpets all need updating.
The view from the V.I.P balcony over the main plaza was beautiful. The place was clean and cozy, and I loved it. Thanks blue mesa, I’ll definitely be back.
The location was good, though it never got properly dark at night.
