The care and service here were unlike anything I've experienced. The only reason I didn't give the rooms another star was that the water took a while to warm up. Telluride is a great place to stay, and this hotel is within walking distance of the free gondola. We had a great visit, and I'll stay here again.

The beds were really comfortable, the staff nice, and the location right in the middle of town is hard to beat. This is a lovely boutique style hotel. We stayed on a Tuesday night in October, and our windows faced a wall. They opened, but there was some kind of air conditioning unit right outside making noise, and there was no daylight. I also had allergy problems in the room, though I'm not sure why. There was no fridge or coffee maker, but coffee was available in the lobby. Better rooms with regular windows are offered if you're willing to spend more than $400. We thought the price was too high for what you get, so it's three stars for value, even with that great location.
Really cool place, with pool tables, low lighting, good drinks, and friendly bartenders. It is pricey as hell, though. The drinks are pricey as hell too. Did I mention how pricey it is? Tip good.
The New Sheridan gave us a fantastic meal, with flavorful food that was cooked just right and clearly prepared with care. The historic elegance and classic Telluride charm were balanced by a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Service was just as impressive as the food. Every staff member we met was attentive, friendly, and made us feel valued. It was exceptional from start to finish, which is rare. If you're in Telluride, I'd highly recommend dining here. A real five-star experience!
I went in expecting more from Telluride, so this was a huge letdown. The restaurant was barely occupied, yet I was made to sit at the bar, and the service wasn't great. The place gave me halfway house vibes and just gave me the ick. We ordered two steaks and two drinks, plus one side each. Sides don't come with the meals and cost almost $20 each at least. Both steaks came out so raw I could barely eat mine, even though we both ordered medium. The food was awful and expensive, and the bill came to $400. I've never had a worse steak. I'd rather eat Texas roadhouse's overly salty food than go back here. I can cook a better meal at home for a fraction of that cost. Never going back. Think twice before wasting your money here. Very disappointing, never again.
