We came with a group for the Bluegrass festival, and the location was great. The units are dated and basic, though comfortable enough. The bed was terrible, even if the towels were nice. There was also construction in some units. You’re definitely paying for the location.
Everything was within easy walking distance from our condo, and it was clean. The place felt very basic, though, and I don’t think it’s been updated since the 80s. You’re paying for the location rather than the ambiance, so keep that in mind, especially with how expensive Telluride is these days.
The grocery store is right beside the complex. Coonskin lift is about a five minute walk, and the shuttle stop for the free gondola is even closer. The hot tub could’ve been hotter, though. It was locked at 97-98 degrees.
The views here are awesome, and the rooms are always really nice. I've been coming to the area for more than 10 years with a group called Alpine, and Telluride lodge has been great for us.
We loved our week here in July. It was peaceful being a little away from town, but close enough that we could still enjoy it. Already looking forward to coming back.
