The Peaks Resort and Spa

The resort is beautiful, with breathtaking views and a relaxing atmosphere, but the people are what made the visit memorable. We arrived in early October and were met with warmth right from the car. Tyler welcomed us at check-in and made us feel at home, assuring us that requests were no bother. Whenever we called about something we'd forgotten, EJ responded quickly and kindly. Ashley at the concierge desk was a delight, full of energy and helpful ideas about the property and its surroundings. Lauren checked in several times to see that we were comfortable and even brought umbrellas on stormy days. Jaime made checkout feel just as welcoming as the start of our stay. The whole team was attentive and genuinely caring, making a lovely getaway truly memorable.

Skiing was only available for a small part of our vacation, so the stay wasn't quite perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well accommodated. If you're skiing, the location is as good as it gets, the spa facilities are world class, and the staff are A+. Thank you!

We wasted half a day and private car service getting to the gym, only to be told my daughter couldn't buy a pass and could only join classes. None of that was mentioned when I called the spa front desk at 11:15 on 12/30 to ask about gym day passes. I explained her age and that she only needed a treadmill for a workout required by her coach. They gave me prices by age and the gym hours, and I checked that this would be okay for the next day. The staff's lack of training or even basic knowledge of the gym rules caused a major vacation headache. For such an expensive hotel, they should train staff so guests and potential customers aren't inconvenienced. When I asked to speak to a manager so they could know what happened and work on training, she was unavailable. I called twice more after that and still couldn't reach her. In a non-touristy town I might be more understanding, but this was really frustrating.

After I prepaid, the price dropped significantly a month later, but the hotel refused to adjust it or offer compensation. I also tried reaching the manager, but my calls went unanswered and weren't returned. The staff were dismissive and unhelpful when problems came up. The advertised ski-in/ski-out access was not accessible. That ruined the stay and defeated the whole reason for booking here. There was no accountability, customer service, or honesty when issues arose. It felt like they took the money and disappeared. Avoid this hotel, and don't waste your money.
