Comfort Suites Airport Phoenix

The night front desk guy was incredible, a genuinely nice person, and about the only bright spot in a terrible stay. The room looked decent because it had just been remodeled, though the work wasn't done well. We weren't warned about the construction when we booked. They shut off the water while I was showering, and we waited an hour for it to come back. There wasn't one working ice machine, the pool and gym were closed, and breakfast was grab-and-go with no decent options. The A/C kept shutting off in the middle of the night. In our freshly remodeled room, the shower curtain was almost falling off the wall, half the outlets had no covers, and the iron was broken. Construction materials cluttered the stairwells. The hotel is under construction, but they don't work overnight, so that part was fine. I can't remember the night clerk's name, unfortunately.

Joseph made us feel welcome at check-in and answered all our questions. Even after we saw someone being rude to him, he stayed composed, sweet, and positive. He even made us giggle a little. The communication and welcoming smiles were lovely, and our room was very clean and smelled amazing. We were so glad to have a beautiful balcony. The hotel was close to our reservations in Town. Our anniversary on 12/28/2025 was the best ever, and we'll definitely be back. 10/10.

The room was adequate and the location was great. Front desk staff and housekeeping did a good job, though I feel for them having to breathe construction dust day after day. There was dust and large debris everywhere, including outside my door, and plastic covered my windows from the outside. At one point, a man was just feet from my bed outside the window while I was still in bed. Construction noise started at 6:30 every morning, even today, Saturday, though breakfast doesn't open until 7. They pounded on walls and moved ladders around in the courtyard. I had a white-noise app turned way up right beside my head and could still hear it. The grab-and-go breakfast included yogurt that wasn't refrigerated, so I got breakfast elsewhere. I don't want to get violently ill from unrefrigerated dairy. Without that construction noise every morning, the place would've been fine. Don't stay until the work is done. I've stayed at many hotels all over the country as a Diamond rewards member, and Joseph at the front desk was the best concierge I've encountered, in my opinion. He greeted my wife and me so warmly and politely, with a positive, high-energy personality that makes you want to return. We both want to thank you, Joseph. You're amazing, and we'll be back.
