Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU

We had a west-facing room with a wonderful sunset over the city of Tempe. The rooftop lounge had plenty of delicious drinks to try and was a lovely place to unwind with the Arizona skyline in view. Downstairs, the coffee shop felt cozy, with hanging wicker chairs for enjoying coffee or tea. Several restaurants, bars, and shops were an easy walk away. There’s a gym, and you can also order an in-room yoga kit for private use. It felt like a great blend of comfort and luxury.

The hotel and its location are excellent, but the service made our stay much worse. We had to ask repeatedly for housekeeping, and even then the room was only partly cleaned. For four people, we were left with one towel; getting more took 45 minutes. Daily cleaning is something we expected as part of the price, not a service to keep requesting. Valet was disorganized and slow, luggage wasn't helped, and each request seemed to take too long. The front desk was defensive and dismissive when we raised concerns, offering unreasonable explanations instead of solutions. Service at the rooftop and restaurant was slow and unfriendly too. The staff seemed disengaged, which showed in how they treated guests. The property has potential, but the inconsistent, inattentive service really affected our experience.

We were close to ASU and a wide range of shops, restaurants, and bars. The room was spacious and nicely furnished, and the mattress had a comfortable middle ground, soft without being too soft. Staff kindly arranged a pac and play for our little one, and valet was quick and efficient.

The lobby is a nice place to hang out, and there were good choices in the Library area. We also really enjoyed the food at Neighborhood Services restaurant. The rooms have a nice layout, too. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
