As a travel agent, I’ve had plenty of trouble getting folios from hotels, so I want to recognize Mari for great service. She was in the middle of another important task when I called, but politely asked me to give her a few minutes to finish. Even with that short wait, she was exceptionally helpful, and I had my folios within minutes. Thank you, Mari, for the outstanding customer service. I really appreciate it.

I was planning to stay here later in January, but that’s off now. On Monday, December 30, a week after my son checked out, my credit card alerted me to another service charge tied to the security deposit that had originally been refunded. When I called, Mavi at the Hotel said the cleaning staff accused my son of smoking and discoloring a towel, so they charged it back. He doesn’t smoke. He also told me that during his 26-day stay the room was never cleaned, he had to ask for toilet paper, and the bed was made only once. There’s no guest laundry, either. I’ve disputed the $75 charge with my card company, which heard the whole phone conversation between Mavi and me. This is not good service.

My dad stayed here twice. The first visit was okay, but on the second he said the shower leaked onto the floor, so he wiped it up with a towel. The towel was really dirty, which makes me wonder whether the room was cleaned properly at all. They charged him a $25 damage fee for the towel, even though proper cleaning and maintenance could have kept him from needing it to mop up the water. I asked for pictures of the supposedly damaged towel or towels and still haven’t received a reply. The woman I spoke with at the front desk was rude and sounded irritated that I questioned the charge.

The staff were friendly and helped me with my luggage to the room. With little notice, they found an accessible room for me after airline equipment problems left me needing to stay overnight. Check-in and checkout were easy, and it was quiet. The room could have been a bit cleaner, and there was no regular coffee available, but I enjoyed the short stay for the most part.
