Motel 6 Temple, TX

That older man was really rude to me. I stood in the doorway to smoke, like everyone does, but I think he treated me that way because I’m a woman. I came there to sleep and shower, and there are all kinds of things going on, yet he singled me out and threatened to ban me for smoking in the doorway. If he’s going to ban people, he should also deal with the others who do it and the people coming and going all night. The one bright spot was a very nice, polite woman. I’d give her five stars.

The rooms were disgusting and full of roaches. I told the front desk several times, but nothing was done. I pushed to move rooms, and the second one was even worse. I killed probably more than a dozen roaches in my first five hours there. Everything was old and worn down, with paint peeling off the walls. Management was the worst part. The woman at the desk and the manager were extremely rude and unprofessional, and had attitudes when I asked to change rooms. They were no help when I suggested treating the rooms for roaches. I ended my stay early and booked somewhere nearby, but they refused to refund the nights I hadn’t stayed, even though I left because the rooms were so unclean. Worst hotel experience I’ve had. Never book here.

We’ve stayed here three times in the last two months. The first room was clean, roomy, and stocked, but the next two got worse. There was nowhere to hang clothes, and about a quarter roll of used toilet paper was left for us. Even during a two-night stay, they didn’t replace it when they brought fresh towels. The last room had roaches and bed bugs. We won’t stay here again.

They were rude and mistreated us when we came here homeless and looking for somewhere safe to sleep. The room had holes punched in the bathroom door, and the bed was hard as a rock. They also charged us far more than advertised, double the listed price each night. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
