Holiday Inn Express & Suites Texarkana by IHG

There were two wonderful women at this hotel, and Ironda wasn’t one of them. The breakfast attendant with the grey twists was kind and extremely helpful, and Carneish was pleasant and concerned. My hat’s off to those two. I’m a truck driver training another driver. I came downstairs after 10am to put my things in my truck, so breakfast was already over. After taking my things outside, I came back in for coffee while waiting for my trainee. Ironda greeted me rudely and asked how she could help. I said I didn’t need help since I hadn’t asked for any. She then asked if I had a room there. When I said yes, she went to her computer and asked for my last name or room number. I didn’t give her either, but pulled out my key card and told her the room number. By then I was extremely upset. She said, “I don’t know you.” I told her I hadn’t asked for her help.

The breakfast was fantastic, and the kitchen crew was great. Lynda made us feel right at home, looked after us, and had us laughing. Amanda is new, but she was friendly and really attentive too. It’s a cozy little place in a good spot, with clean rooms and friendly staff. We’re glad we chose it and would stay again if we come back.

The staff were courteous and friendly, which made the stay more pleasant. The room itself was usable, but the hotel looks dated and worn. Finishes and fixtures show their age, and there are signs the place hasn’t been kept up. It could use a refresh and more care with its appearance.

The rooms are always clean, and breakfast comes out hot and fresh. Miss Janet, thanks for the crunchy bacon, you’re the MVP for that! We travel a lot, and it’s been a long time since we’ve met such a good team. Miss Ironda and Miss Olivia at the front desk and Miss Janet in the breakfast area are positive, professional, pleasant people with great energy. I pray they stay just the way they are.
