Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Texas City-Galveston Area

The location was easy to find, and the room itself was very good. But we all ended up with headaches, and my baby vomited overnight. It seemed the room had just been painted without enough time for the paint to dry or for proper ventilation. Breathing those fumes can be dangerous, especially for a little baby. I called the front desk several times to report it but couldn't get through. The weather was horrible, so we had no choice but to stay. I pray none of us get sick, because that would be serious. This is the first time I've written a review so quickly, but I had to.

The pool outside was huge and well kept, and breakfast in the morning was fresh. Inside, we had a large fridge, kitchen furniture, two sinks, and a big 55” LED TV. The room had two king beds, which worked well for families or groups, and the pillow-top beds and pillows were very comfortable. The AC kept it cool after a hot day. The room also felt fresh, with new paint and updated furniture. Under the new management and ownership, you can see improvements. This Days Inn has really stepped up. It's affordable and comfortable, and I'd stay again or recommend it to anyone in the area or heading to Galveston.

Roaches everywhere, and the room doesn't look like the posted photos, more like a landlord special. It smells like somebody's been chain-smoking, or like they're about to hand out a complimentary pack of smokes 😵‍💫 Guess you get what you pay for 😭😭

The staff were nice, but the room had mold, hair in the fridge, and hair and mold on the bathroom wall. We'd reserved a ground-floor room for medical reasons, but they hadn't held one for us. Hotel.com charged us, then Days Inn charged us too. Hotel.com was about 12% more expensive, and I won't use them again either.
