During the 2017 total eclipse, the owners honored our reservation and kept the price they’d quoted us. I was grateful they didn’t cancel and resell the rooms at four times the rate, as major hotel chains did to some last minute eclipse chasers. The price was phenomenal, and our clean room and bed were a relief. We were glad we chose Snider's Rustic Inn over a large chain and will stay again. They really care about their guests.

Even though we arrived late, someone met us at the door and checked us in quickly. The room was clean and the service was great. It had a fridge, microwave, and Kuerig, and they’d left a K-cup for each of us for morning coffee. I’d definitely recommend this little place.

The place is cute and clean, and it smelled like nice carpet freshener. There was a separate extra room with a door, though the feel was definitely rustic. It got quite warm without a/c, so we opened the fridge and set the fan in front of it, which helped. The beds were pretty hard, and the toilet paper was barely better than construction paper. Worst part was the shower turning freezing cold now and then, making me yelp and jump out. Fine for one night, but I wouldn’t stay longer.

We were there for a tough weekend after a death in the family, and the quiet, cozy rooms and excellent service helped make things a little easier without the staff even knowing. Everything was super clean and roomy, and the rooms were fabulous. Wonderful place, five stars for sure.

The rooms were a pleasant surprise, even though they’re small. It’s a nice old style motel, and I’d guess the rooms had been redone recently. The bed was comfortable, and there was a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee in the room. No air conditioning, but Thayne is around 6,000 ft and gets quite cool at night. I visited in late August for the eclipse, so it wasn’t an issue then.
