Justin was a great host, and I'll see him again soon. I arranged an ice fishing trip with my friends Jason and Jim, and when I booked with Justin, he told me he ran Hawks Nest Lodge and had rooms for our dates. Our room was spotless and looked out over the River. The Lodge is a reasonable distance from Moosehead Lake and near the famous Berry's General Store. It also has a bar and restaurant with plenty of drinks and a great menu. The Hot Italian Sub and pizza's were especially good.

It's easy to see why Hawks Nest is one of our favorite restaurants. The cozy feel makes it a nice place for a night out, and the staff are attentive and friendly. There are lots of tasty things on the menu, and everything we've tried has been excellent.

We had a beautiful early fall dinner overlooking the Dead River, with some fantastic pizza. Iron Bound Outdoors owners of Hawkes Nest Lodge and Restaurant have a great spot for people traveling north or south on 201. The food, drinks, and service were all great, portions were good, and prices reasonable.

We had a late lunch after a great day floating down the river with Ironbound Outdoors, and everyone loved their meal. We ordered pizza, a chicken burger, a pub burger, and a steak and cheese sub. Everything was high quality, perfectly cooked and seasoned, and delicious. The place was clean, the atmosphere was great, and the wait staff were fantastic. Thanks to Justin and crew for a lovely day. We hope to come back next Summer and stay at the Lodge!

The restaurant attached to the lodge was very good, and the decor and accommodations were nice. We stayed one night during a rafting and hiking trip, right next door to the rafting company, with a great view of the river. The ownership had just changed, and the new owner was fabulous. Our one complaint: our bedroom was directly above the bar and its patrons, with no soundproofing at all.
