Quality Inn Thomaston

The front desk lady was very nice, and the beds were okay to sleep in. The room itself felt nasty from the moment we walked in, with a strong musty smell and matted, hideous floors. There were pee spots on the bathroom floor from previous guests. Wiping them with a white rag turned it brown, though I couldn’t tell what the residue was. Black hand and finger smudges covered the wall behind the toilet and other areas, and the bathroom door had marks all over it, with dust in its ridges that looked untouched for years. The air conditioner barely worked and took forever to cool the room. I’d absolutely never stay here again. Thomaston needs better lodging for people traveling to the city.

The office looked fine, but the room was dirty and smelly, with unsafe-looking electrical fixtures, rusting items, peeling paint, and things falling or hanging off the walls. The caulking around the toilet was cracked and broken. I also saw cars swoop into the parking lot between the hotel’s two buildings around 2:00-4:00am, make what looked like quick transactions, and leave. It seemed like a nightly drug trade. I tried to cancel and get a refund, but they refused. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It seriously should be shut down. I wonder when the Thomaston Health Dept. last inspected it, or whether they’re afraid to go in without HAZMAT suits.

I never stayed there. My card was charged $600 a week later, and it still hadn’t been refunded. I got no answers about who used my card, signed for the room, or issued a license to stay there. Do not stay here. Something is sketchy!

The manager had no problem refunding the payment. The room was nasty, and it was pretty clear whoever “cleaned” the place didn’t care. It left me speechless in a bad way.
