Capital O Amerihost Inn and Suites Mexico Hwy 54 MO

There were plenty of food options nearby, and I got to Teal Lake Park for a quiet walk and the Audrain County Historical Museum to learn a bit about local history. After a long drive, I wanted somewhere simple to unwind, and the calm, safe feeling of the property made that easy. Check-in was hassle-free too, thanks to the staff’s warm, helpful attitude. It was a convenient, comfortable stay.

My family didn’t feel safe or comfortable, so we left, despite losing the deposit. They’d already paid online, then she charged them again, and when we asked for a refund, she said they don’t do refunds. We were first put in a room that already had a man booked in it. The woman who wouldn’t give her name said she didn’t work there and didn’t know which rooms were available. Her boyfriend checked two rooms for her. One was supposedly open, but it was disgusting, with yellow sheets and a toilet leaking in the restroom. It was an awful, unsanitary experience.

There were roaches in the first room they gave me. They said they’d refund my money and the deposit, but I never got any of it back. Don’t stay here.

This place was nasty and dirty, and I got eaten up by bed bugs. They also lost my debit card, which meant a trip back to Kansas City to get another one. They kept my deposit, which is a joke, and didn’t return my money or even call.
