The pool was heated, which had me looking forward to using it on vacation with my parents, but it was out of order. Right before we left, we wanted to sit by the fire, but Fernando wouldn't turn it on even though it's listed as an amenity. Breakfast was the same every day and none of it was good. The maintenance guy kept staring at us whenever we were around him, which made my mom uncomfortable. Our room had cracks in the walls and ceilings, terrible showers, and a fridge that stopped working again a couple of hours after the maintenance man flipped the breaker. He clearly didn't fix it. Jessica was very sweet and helpful. If it were up to me, she'd be the manager. The manager should think seriously about new people to run the property. She either doesn't know what she's doing or doesn't care if the hotel gets shut down or falls apart. My parents and I didn't enjoy our stay at this town place and won't return. I also heard a guest say they were being overcharged, so be careful.

Jessica was amazing throughout the stay. She seemed to be everywhere, handling the work of three people, and the service was a big part of why I’d come back. For the quality, the price was very affordable, and I’d happily stay again, 10/10. The building felt solid and remarkably quiet. I’m not sure if it’s a newer place or an older one that’s been remodeled, but it kept outside noise and the neighbors’ noise out really well. When the AC wasn’t cooling because it was so cold outside, I opened the window a crack and noticed how much noise the building was blocking. A few things could use attention. Some trim was rough or broken, though it looked like repairs were underway. The showerhead lever was acting strangely, but it seemed like a simple plumbing fix. The room door was almost impossible for me to open as a disabled person. My room also sat behind a little entry area serving two room doors, and steering a luggage cart through that S curve with a difficult door was quite a workout. Weekdays were quiet, but the weekends had street takeovers on three nights in a row. I thought they might move around to avoid the police, but on the third night the police were waiting.

Correen at the front desk was wonderful. I’d brought nice bath salts and a bath bomb, expecting a tub, and she walked over with me to check the room. When we found only a standing shower, she took the time to locate another room and upgraded us. She was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The bathroom was nearly spotless, though the kitchen needed a better cleaning. The silverware could have been cleaned properly, and the drawers needed wiping down. Breakfast in the morning didn’t offer many choices. With a free hotel breakfast that was somewhat expected, but I’d plan to bring groceries to cook in the room or eat out.

I’ve spent years traveling around the country and staying in hotels for months at a time, and this is only the fifth or sixth review I’ve written. This place stood out enough that I wanted to share the experience, even though I don’t get anything from it. The area is convenient, with food, shopping, and a nice little bar nearby. Most of what I need is within two miles. The hotel itself is quiet, and so are the guests. The gym is clean and has equipment worth using. The staff, from leadership through maintenance, were sincerely friendly and helpful. They paid attention to the property and to guests, took time to talk with me, remembered my dogs name, and regularly asked whether they could do anything for me. There are usually fresh cookies in the lobby, too. I checked in later in the evening. I’m used to staying in studio rooms, but they offered what seemed to be an upgrade, probably because of my longer stay. That was a really kind gesture. The breakfasts were consistent and actually good, not just good by hotel breakfast standards.

Jessica and Cam made us feel welcome and glad to be there. We stayed Thursday through Monday for a wedding, and the hotel worked perfectly as a place to stay around Denver and Thornton. Our full suite/studio had a stove, a full-sized fridge, and a dishwasher, which I really liked. There were also large, sturdy grills outside and a fire pit that made for a nice spot to sit and enjoy the weather.
