The scenery is stunning and the town is fantastic, and the food was top notch. Most of all, the staff at the Sacajawea made the week special. Ariana was the best concierge I've ever encountered, and Fred at the front desk was warm and welcoming. I'd give them more than five stars if I could.

I've stayed at this hotel for business two or three nights a week, and this experience has put me off returning. I can only pay cash. After I asked to pay when I arrived around midnight to 2 a.m., the manager said the front desk could call her and she'd explain how to process it. When they called, I learned the prices had gone up significantly, which I understood. I then said I didn't want to book two nights at the new rate and would pay at checkout. She insisted I had to book the whole stay, even though I was exhausted and said I'd pay in the morning, as I had on previous stays. I heard her say loudly and clearly, "have her pay I'm not dealing with her in the morning." Management was incredibly rude. When I later asked for an apology, she said this was the "hospitality business" and brought up a free room I'd gotten before. I'd caught that mistake myself, told the staff, and offered to pay for the extra night, but they said it was fine. The staff are amazing, the hotel is beautiful, and the food is great, but I'm never coming back.

We finally got to stay here after wanting to for a long time, and they were fine with rescheduling us. At check-in, we were handed a lavender towel and champagne, which we enjoyed after dropping off our bags. Later we sat on the front porch swing beside a gas fire for marshmallow roasting, wrapped in comfy blankets with soft music playing. Our clean room had thoughtful extras like earplugs we didn't need, pillow spray, and water bottles. We had dinner in the bar, with excellent affordable food and cocktails and great service. The live music was nice, though hard to hear from our table. The front desk woman was kind. The lobby had lots of historical photos and a very Montana feel. We'd happily stay again.

I've never had service like this at a hotel, and I travel four days a week for 50 weeks a year. On my first stay at the Sacajawea Hotel, the desk attendant greeted me and walked me to my cottage. At checkout, all I had to do was leave my key in the room. Free snacks and drinks were waiting inside. The little house felt spacious, with 10 ft ceilings, walls lined with windows, and rocking chairs on my private porch overlooking the courtyard. There were quality chocolates on the king bed and lavender pillow mist that helped make the night restful. The coffee setup had fresh water and several coffee choices, plus Dutch Hot Chocolate and Apple Cider, a welcome surprise in December in Montana. A corner fireplace and comfortable couch made it easy to read and relax. The next morning, the large clean bathroom and his & her robes nearly convinced me to stay another night. I will next trip.

I've stayed at and worked in some high end hotels around the world, and the hospitality here stands out. The food is amazing and satisfying, with prices that won't leave you upset. The staff are the real stars, pleasant and kind, and they go above and beyond. Maggie at the front desk was so kind and did so much for us that this has become our anniversary trip every year. Maddie served us with a kind smile, knew the menu, and happily walked us through all the options when we said we loved it. Don't miss this destination.
