We drove out for the Saturday night prime rib buffet and it was totally worth it. The prime rib was so good, and the ribs were tender enough to fall off the bone. The soup was excellent too. We were too full to try the baked chicken, though it looked good. Our server was attentive, and everyone seemed happy to be there.

The attached restaurant serves very good food in a supper club setting, with a good sized bar and a separate pool table and game area. Our room was spacious, with a rustic cabin feel, plus a mini fridge and microwave. It's a friendly place and convenient to lots of lakes and trails. Great stay!

The Sunday brunch was excellent and cost $13, though breakfast wasn't included. We were here for one night on a snowmobile trip, and the trails were close and easy to get to. The room was clean and looked like it had recently been painted. It took a long time for the water to get hot, and the heater smelled like natural gas when it switched on as we were heading to bed. At checkout, we mentioned it and were told they didn't have gas heat. That seemed odd, since there was clearly a natural gas line and regulator connected to the room's heater. It was a decent stay overall, and I'd probably stay again.

The food was tasty, and there was a buffet we hadn't seen advertised, so I ate more than I meant to. It had prime rib, fish, ribs, and dumplings. The dining room is small, and the menu doesn't spell everything out. Beer and wine are available if you ask, even though they aren't listed. Don't be shy about asking for what you want. We'll be back.

The room was clean, and the restaurant food was great. The one serious problem was the mattress, which was thin, saggy, and badly in need of replacement. It made for a restless night. The place feels frozen in a long gone time, though that does give it some charm.
