For $333 after tax for one night, I expected better, even allowing for the location near the national park. This was the worst hotel room we've ever stayed in, out of hundreds. I asked for a ground floor room near handicap parking because of mobility problems, but got a second floor room with no elevator. The hotel was sold out, they said, and there were no other rooms. I contacted management afterward and got no response. The bathroom door was stuck open with a gap, and putty on the hinge kept it from closing. The light strobed, made a high pitched noise, then went out while I was showering. The sheets had hair on them, the walls were extremely dirty, and there were crumbs and sticky rings on the furniture. The connecting door didn't lock properly on either side. Late at night, people in the adjoining room tried to lock it, which made our door swing open and scared us both.

The location by the National Park is superb, with several local restaurants nearby. The kids loved the pool, the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly, and things generally worked. Still, upkeep seems limited to the bare minimum. There were dents, scuffs, and trash around, cobwebs in our room, scratches all over the armoire, and the sink drains needed cleaning. Without a serious refresh soon, this won't be a place people want to stay. It's not the worst Comfort Inn I've visited, though the Tucson airport CI was worse.

The pool was perfect in the evenings, and the hotel made a great home base for our family trip to the parks. The rooms were huge, the service was great, and the location was perfect for the park. The accommodations were far better than camping in the park.

We had a good stay at Comfort Inn & Suites in Three Rivers until the last morning. At about 9 a.m., my husband and I went to breakfast while our 12-year-old was still in the room. We put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, but housekeeping knocked and then entered while the room was occupied. The housekeeper apologized and shut the door, but this was a safety concern. Staff should be trained to honor DND signs and not enter occupied rooms, especially before the 11 a.m. checkout. I called the front desk at 9:30 when we got back to report it. Before that, we'd appreciated the friendly, helpful service from Jude at the front desk, the free hot breakfast, reliable Wi-Fi, and coffee, tea, and hot cocoa available 24 hours. The hotel is older, but our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Restaurants and a grocery store are within walking distance, and it's a short drive to Sequoia National Park. It was budget-friendly and convenient, and we'd consider staying again.

The location close to the park was great, and the front desk employee kindly upgraded our room. But when we came back from hiking, there were four cockroaches and other larger bugs in our bedroom. The room and shower were dirty too, and the bed was horrible. The manager wasn't there, and the only offer was 20% off a future stay because it was after 3 p.m., even though it was only 3:30 when this happened and we weren't staying another night. I wouldn't stay again. The manager didn't seem to care.
