Noxapaga Suites

WiFi worked great in both places, and I'd definitely book one of these instead of a hotel. The Pike suite is great for couples or families, with all the amenities of home and everything you need within a very short walk. My favorite was the Solomon suite. It's a little outside town, with good views on clear days. It's best suited to individuals or couples, and has the comforts of home in a slightly smaller space. The rooms are amazing.

Jessica was kind enough to lend me bear spray for my adventures outside town, and she answered all my questions promptly. I had a great stay in the Trout suite. It was clean and well equipped, with a restaurant and grocery store within walking distance. Use a credit card at the store, not cash, trust me on this. Check-in and check-out were seamless. Check-in couldn't have been easier. They emailed my confirmation and door code, and I just unpacked. The unit was cozy inside when it was -20 outside. It's clean, has free laundry in the unit, and a nice kitchen with enough in it to cook a proper meal. I never heard a neighbor.

I've stayed at Jessica's hotel/suites on my fifth trip to Nome. The unit felt like an escape from Nome, with modern furnishings, a TV, internet, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and soft linens. It's a great mix of an apartment rental like you'd find on Airbnb and hotel amenities. Booking is easier, like a hotel, and you get soaps, coffee, and the usual things you'd expect when you walk in, along with remote check-in and the extra space of an Airbnb unit. I've been happy with other places, but there's nothing else like this in Nome. It's on another level for the region.
