The rooms gave us plenty of space for our son's traveling soccer tournament, and the hotel was quiet, pet friendly, and in a really nice spot. Prices were decent too. The breakfast was the big letdown. At 7:30 am there was no coffee, and staff didn't seem to try to refill it. We couldn't find any milk for cereal either, so plan to eat elsewhere. Our room's air conditioner knobs were broken, and it took some trial and error to get it running. Aside from those issues, we enjoyed the stay. I just wish I'd known about breakfast.

There’s no elevator, so if stairs are a problem, ask for a room on the main floor. The building is older but still nice, and our room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. I’d stay here again.

I needed a quiet place where I could actually rest and sleep, and that worked out well. The sheets were clean and had no smell, the shower water was hot, and the room's air conditioner worked very well. I liked everything 👍🏻

The vending machines were probably the best part after the price, with lots of junk food at fairly reasonable prices. Otherwise, the place was generally dirty, and when we tried to check in between 3 and 5 pm, nobody was at the front desk. There was also a creepy, very nosy housekeeping guy. I wouldn't recommend it, though Thurmont doesn't offer much else.
