Ticaboo Lodge

The scenery around here is hard to beat, with the Henry Mtns, Water Pocket Fold and Burr Trail giving you a great mix of mountains and desert. We were in town for the North Lake Powell UTV Rally for the weekend. Our room was clean and comfortable, the rally meals were great, and the staff were exceptional. Mike, Josh and the others made the rides fun and knew the area well.

We tried for over a month to book a room for our vacation during the off season, but couldn't get anyone to respond to an email or call. Their message said they'd open on 02/13/26, yet three days after that date there was still no response at all. We wanted to stay there and spend our money, but ended up driving almost an hour farther to a place that got back to us and seemed to care about having us as guests. Crickets…

Maddie and Michael were amazing and handled every need and request. The beds were comfortable, we had warm water, and we spent late nights playing games. We loved every minute of our three nights at Lake Powell. We stayed in the Vista family unit. It wasn't perfect, but it was what we expected: dated carpets, a slow drain in the master bath, and a fridge water dispenser that didn't work. We knew we were more than 100 miles from nowhere. If you're expecting a Ritz Carlton in Ticaboo, Utah, you'll be disappointed. But if you're ready to make the best of a place in the middle of nowhere at the edge of the best lake in the US, this is the spot. I only wish we lived close enough to invite them for Sunday dinner.

The location is just right for outdoor recreation, and the grille at the Sinclair down the road is pretty good too. Our room was clean and functional with plenty of space, comfortable beds and lots of TV channels. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We'll be back for sure.
