The old inn has plenty of quirky historic charm, and it’s a lovely place to unplug since there aren’t TVs or outlets everywhere. The cabins feel roomier and more modern. My sister booked the whole weekend for her wedding, and the view from the point was incredible. Watching the full moon rise in the east as the sun went down in the west felt magical. Bob and Tracey were gracious hosts and wonderful caretakers.

We’ve stayed in the cabins at Black Walnut Point Inn on several trips and keep coming back for the peaceful setting. There’s lots of room to walk around in nature, and we’ve tried the hammocks by the house and pool. The pool is especially nice when it’s hot, and one evening we made s’mores at the fire pit. They’ve also been careful about our family’s food allergies when we’ve visited.

We rented the whole place for a few days after the wedding and had such a relaxing time. Each morning started with a delicious breakfast made by the innkeepers, and the sunsets were breathtaking. The atmosphere feels homey, too. Bob and Tracy were incredible while we planned everything, always just an email or phone call away. It’s an amazing wedding venue, and I’d recommend it to friends and family. I’d get married here again in a heartbeat, though hopefully I won’t need to!

We keep returning to BWPI when we need a peaceful break. Sitting by the pool with a book or settling into one of the many hammocks while the breeze comes off the water is hard to beat. The historic house has a lot of ambiance without a bunch of unnecessary extras. Bob and Tracy are so welcoming and congenial that you feel like part of the family. If quiet and relaxation are what you’re after, this place is great.

A kidney-shaped pool, a big lawn for events, and nearly 270-degree views of the Chesapeake Bay. The rooms are nicely decorated with classic plates, bowls, and other knickknacks. Staff were helpful and wonderful. It’s a quaint, lovely way to get away.
