The Tilghman Island Inn

The backyard view was spectacular, especially at sunset, and our toddler had fun watching the boats go by. It’s such a peaceful, comfortable spot. We loved staying here, and Sherri went above and beyond with customer service. Everyone else working there was friendly and kind as well.

Our room had a Jacuzzi tub, luxurious sheets and mattress, and big picture windows looking across the balcony to the waterway. Outside, the pool was serene and just right, and there’s a lovely garden with Adirondack chairs for relaxing. The views from the backyard and terrace are gorgeous. Bikes are available to rent, and in the morning you can get coffee, tea, juice, and breakfast boxes.

The best fish I’ve ever tried, and you can tell the father, who’s the chef, takes real pride in his cooking. His daughter works as a server and even took time to show me their lovely little garden. This charming family-owned hotel has such a warm, welcoming feel. I was genuinely impressed by the care and family spirit throughout my visit. Highly recommend it for a cozy, authentic stay!

The breakfast box had thoughtfully selected ingredients and made for a very satisfying, substantial morning meal. The restaurant is phenomenal, too. Sherry seemed to know everything about the inn and what there is to do nearby. She was knowledgeable, professional, and funny. The area is tranquil, and the rooms, view, lobby, and restaurant are all immaculate and attractive. A great local getaway, and worth the trip even from farther away.
