Red Roof Inn Tinton Falls - Jersey Shore

I wanted a reasonably priced place near the shore, and the room was clean with what I needed. The heat got me through the night, though the thermostat didn’t seem to work, maybe because its batteries were dead. It would run briefly, then shut off, perhaps to keep the room tolerable when no one was in it. The mattress was the bigger problem. It was visibly worn out, with no support once I lay down. I’ve stayed here before and will give it another try, but my last visit was better.

This was easily the nastiest place I’ve stayed. There were roaches and hair on the toilets, and the tub looked dirty too. I’ve had pretty decent rooms at other Red roofs inn locations, but not this one. The manager, Mary or whoever she was, was rude. It wasn’t worth the money, and I doubt they even clean the towels.

Doug, the night desk guy, is awesome, and I don’t mind staying here. But I pay out of pocket every day, so I shouldn’t have to fight to get coffee, sugar, and powdered creamer. The tiny packets only have one serving each, and I’ve had to go buy my own creamer and coffee. The woman working mornings is not professional with guests and has an attitude problem. I’m a paying guest, and this shouldn’t be an issue. They need someone in the office who isn’t so high-strung. I’ll be writing several reviews about this. 😎💁🏾‍♀

Pet friendly and close to what I needed, so it was okay, though I’ve stayed at better and worse RRI places. The beds were old and broken, the sheets felt weirdly damp and rubbery, the toilet barely flushed, and the tub was rusty and dirty, with some panels coming off the wall. The AC was nice and cold. There was a homeless guy sleeping in the parking lot, which didn’t bother me. There seemed to be a party on the other side, but I couldn’t hear it when I lay down.
