East Street Inn & Suites Tipton

We left without staying because the room felt unsafe and was filthy. There were people hanging around outside our door, and the door itself didn't close properly. Inside, one bed had what looked like fresh blood on the comforter, the sheets on the other had dirty shoe prints, and the rugs were covered in garbage and gunk. It looked nothing like the Facebook pictures. They charged me $27 too much and never refunded it. Very disappointing.

We needed a room at the last minute, and I was glad to find one that was spacious and reasonably priced. The employees were super friendly. There was a strange smell in the room, though, and I have no idea what caused it. I was happy with the stay overall.

The kitchenette was a nice surprise, with a full-size fridge and three beds. The kids could sleep in the back bedroom, separated from the rest of us. I also loved the steady fan and cold air. The decor is older, but the place was clean, and the staff were really nice. It's handy for food and sundries, and the little town has lovely people. A sweet room for an inexpensive price.

Each rental has two bedrooms joined by a small kitchen and bathroom, one with a full-size bed and the other with two twins. For what the stay cost, it wasn't worth it. The Inn badly needs upgrades, and there isn't enough space beside the full bed to get out on that side and reach the restroom. You have to figure a lot out yourself. There was no sink plug, no TV instructions, no Wi-Fi password listed in the room, and no guidance on how much water to put in the coffee maker. I guessed wrong and had to pour the muddy coffee down the drain. The TV also went off its channels for a while, so I had to fiddle with it until I got it working.
