The shower handle was the worst problem: it was installed backwards, with hot water on the blue side and cold on the red, and I burned myself. The plugs didn’t work, the bathroom door only nearly closed if you shoved it, and the walls were damaged. The floor and carpet didn’t look clean, the towels were tiny, and they wouldn’t give us extras without housekeeping coming in. There were only sheets on the bed, no blankets, so I was glad I’d brought my own. The whole Premier Inn in Arizona felt run-down and badly maintained. I wouldn’t recommend it.

During race weekend we got charged over $200 a night, for what felt like a $50-a-night place. The room hadn’t been dusted in weeks, and the parking lot was dirty and unkempt. The comfy chair shown in the photos has been replaced with a plastic one, lol. Wish I could post pictures. Don’t be fooled by the five-star reviews or property photos.

I paid $170 for one night, and the room was filthy. The floor looked barely swept and definitely hadn’t been mopped. There was an inch-wide gap under the door, crumbling drywall, and plumbing sealant that was badly done or missing. No fridge or microwave, either. When I asked about getting a room with them, the woman at the desk sighed and said, “What we have at booking is what we have.” I understand that, but a little empathy would’ve helped. For that price, this was probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The building looked like it was falling apart, and I was very disappointed.

The room smelled like a trap house, with brown stains on the walls and ceiling and a used bar of soap in the sink. When I asked to move rooms and offered to pay, they sent someone to spray the carpet with a nearly empty bottle of cheap Clorox, then told us to leave the door open to air it out. It was almost midnight. Even the Wi-Fi costs money every day. This was my worst nightmare of a hotel stay. We considered taking an Uber back to the airport and sleeping there for two nights instead. Don’t book through a third party, because if something goes wrong, they can’t make accommodations. I’d give zero stars if I could. I’d even involve law enforcement, that’s how monstrous the experience was.

I’m disabled and on social security, and if I’d had the money to move elsewhere during my three nights, I would have. I asked the woman at the desk for a ground-floor room because of my disability, but she said none were available. Booking.com couldn’t get me a refund. The photos showed something different from the room I got. It was run-down, in disrepair, dirty, with peeling paint and roaches. I’ve never stayed somewhere worse. Read the one-star reviews.
