The entrance is easy to miss. When you drive in, you have to go around the left side, and the place sits tucked beside an apartment complex. Our room was tiny, as you’d expect at a Microtel, but it was generally clean and everything worked, even if it looked a bit dated. There’s been no breakfast since 2020, despite what Google says.

The AC worked really well, and the small room was adequate. At first glance the place seemed promising, but the safety lock was partly loose and wobbled, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. No shampoo or conditioner, and no microwave. The fridge did work, though it froze everything I put in it. Both nights, loud banging woke me up. I called the front desk after it happened again, but they said they hadn’t heard anything. The lobby and downstairs smelled like weed. This could be a fine place if they fixed those issues.

The rooms stayed hot even with the AC on its coldest setting, and I don’t usually get hot. There was also a really strong weed smell. The tap water came out cloudy at first, then cleared after a while. They still hadn’t updated their information to say they no longer offer breakfast. I expected little, but the stay was below good, though not horrible.

We came during a snowstorm, but they turned me away because I’d left a bad review. That’s a petty way to run a hotel, especially when there seemed to be only about four cars in the lot that night. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. You’d think they’d want the business and money to keep the place going instead of refusing to rent a room just because someone posted a negative review.
