The lobby feels so welcoming, and they’ve decorated it beautifully. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nice, and everything was clean and well kept. I was surprised that check-in happened across the street, but it all worked out fine. A lovely alternative to a chain hotel, especially with all that history.

We paid $179 for a stay with no service, and I wouldn’t come back. To stay at the Belvada Hotel, you have to check in across the street at the Mizpah Hotel, even though the Belvada cost more. There wasn’t a single person at the Belvada front desk to help us. My husband had to walk over to the Mizpah for coffee in 29-degree weather. The coffee was empty, and other guests were waiting too. He called to ask for more and was told someone would come out, so he waited for a fresh pot with everyone else. After one cup he went back, only to find it gone again. Who wants to stay in a hotel with no service? The customer service needs to be much better.

You walk in and it’s beautiful, like you’ve been transported somewhere else. I spent well over an hour looking at the art and all the thoughtful details in the historic preservation. The First Americans art exhibit was a highlight, and the front desk staff were wonderful. Our beds were clean and comfy, and the bathroom was clean too. The room itself could’ve used a little more attention: I noticed some trash under the beds and a chair that was a bit gross. We walked to dinner at Tonopah Brewing, then stopped at the hotel coffee shop before our drive since it opens early. So convenient. I couldn’t be happier and will be back.

The downtown location is great, and this former bank has been lovingly restored into a fabulous historic hotel. Our room was roomy and comfortable, with a nice bathroom. I appreciated the practical touches, including a towel rack and luggage benches by the bed. The mattress was a little softer than I like, but still comfortable. If you can, get dinner at the sister hotel Mizpah across the street.

We only stayed one night. The room was clean and well equipped, though the TV in the living area didn’t work. Maybe someone had taken the Roku from it. They didn’t have restaurant employees, so my husband went to the Mizpah bar to get food. It’s a great place if you’re traveling with pups. There’s a coffee bar next to the lobby, open in the morning, and the person working there is also the front desk clerk.
