I stayed here on business to be near the capitol, and would return for work or vacation if I’m back. The room was clean, had plenty of outlets, a fridge and microwave, and everything was quiet. There’s a pool, though I didn’t use it. The hall was ridiculously clean and the brightest I’ve ever seen, which felt reassuring for safety as I was traveling solo. The room showed a little wear, but everything worked. Staff had a good balance of professionalism and friendliness without getting into my business. The parking lot was pretty full, which felt like confirmation I’d chosen well. Big box stores are close if you need to pick something up, and DoorDash and Uber Eats deliveries made it to the lobby without hassle. I only wish there were smart TVs so I could use Netflix and YouTube. Otherwise, it was a solid stay.

The room was good, though the bathroom needs some maintenance, and breakfast was very bland. The pool could use another sign at the far end of the hall. There’s one at the entrance, but without another marker it looks like you’re heading out of the building.

I travel through Topeka often and had been looking for a hotel I liked enough to make my regular stop. I’ve found it here. It’s clean and well kept, which matters to me; other places I tried weren’t bad, just a bit used. The location and view were good, and I could see the vehicle I was driving. I didn’t stay for breakfast, but the service was good. I’ll be back.

We stopped here in September 2024 while heading east from Colorado Springs. The room was nice, and breakfast was good. Check-in and checkout were easy, with friendly, helpful staff. I’d recommend it if you’re in the area.

I usually like Hampton Inns, but I slept terribly at this one. Traffic noise was constant, and you could feel it reverberating through the room. If you enjoy hearing and feeling the traffic, you’ll love this hotel.
