The room was much smaller than the booking photos suggested. The hot tub was closed, though it looked perfectly fine, and there was just one sign on the door. Kids could still get in, so a man kept coming over to yell that it was closed. They need a better way to block it off. Only one elevator was working, and it took forever; the ice machine on our floor was broken too. Yellow tape hanging from the trees made the front of the hotel look like a crime scene. Next time we’ll go back to Homewood Suites, which even has complimentary breakfast.

The omelets were amazing, and the bartender Shon really made our night. We had a wonderful stay, with nice, clean rooms and staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend the place if you’re in Topeka.

The price is always great and the hotel is decent. Topeka can be rough, but this place isn’t too bad. If they repaved the lot, it would be five stars. The potholes could take a rim off your car.

We were in room 107. The toilet rocks from side to side, though there was no sign of a leak. I’m sure it will leak if that isn’t fixed. There are also some scratches inside the lavatory door that look repaired, as though someone had locked their pup in there, tsk tsk. I’d recommend this location again.

A complete disappointment. We were traveling cross-country with kids and called several times before booking to verify the amenities and service hours. When we arrived, the hotel was in the middle of construction. The pool, hot tub, mini golf, and restaurant were all closed for renovations, and the different entrances were shut too, leaving only one door to get into the hotel. They sold the booking at the regular price while advertising all those amenities, which felt misleading. Of course the booking was non-refundable, since everyone would cancel once they got there. Every time you pass the front desk, they’re trying to calm down another angry guest who was misled like us.
