At first, this looked like a really nice campground. A few campers across from us played music a bit loud, but that was nothing compared with the next night, when the campground hired a band and put it 50 feet from our camper’s back windows. The windows were actually vibrating. Their answer was that we could move. I paid a hundred dollars a night, and at six in the evening they expected me to pick up and move my camper all over again?

The office staff are awesome and always go the extra mile to sort out any problems. I’ve had a seasonal site at Grey’s Point and have been staying here for 10 years. Thank you!

The bathrooms and shower made things really hard for our family of five. Each campground section has only two toilets and one shower stall, so it took two hours of checking and waiting to get everyone washed. The hose was attached but leaking everywhere, and trying to hold a screaming, crying toddler up in the air for a shower was no fun. There was no beach access for a stroller or wagon, and no parking. You had to have a golf cart unless you wanted to walk from your campsite. The bathrooms weren’t cleaned properly either. There was blood on a toilet seat for two days. I saw the cleaning lady leave, checked afterward, and it was still there, so I wiped it clean myself. The playground had broken plastic that was worn from the heat and peeling all over. My toddlers’ calves got scratched up. It’s a nice place, but it wasn’t as friendly for a young family as we expected. Honestly, I don’t know if it was worth the money.

We had a great two-week stay here with our two kids. The grounds are beautiful, quiet, clean, and well run, tucked away from the main road to town. Our spacious, level pull-through site was well kept, like the other setups we saw. Most campers seemed to be annuals or staying for the season. There’s lots for kids to do. Both playgrounds were great, the pool and splash pad were fun, and we loved the little sand beach and dipping into the river. The store had more than we needed, plus fun treats and toys. We also enjoyed biking around, especially along the river, with its gorgeous views, sunset spots with seating, and lovely flowers. The dog park was shady and roomy, beside a beautiful pond and walking area. Staff were very kind, and everyone seemed genuinely happy to work there. Over Mother’s Day weekend there were lots of events, including a farmers market, food trucks, live music, crafts for kids and adults, bingo, and games. The pool bathrooms were worn out and dirty, though. They felt out of place with the rest of the amenities, and were old, small, and dusty, with dirt on the floor, spider webs, and a moldy smell. The laundry room was also left in poor shape, which surprised me when everything else was so well kept. It’s close to town for food, donuts, coffee, and shopping, and our kids also loved the new playground there. Everything else we experienced was great. We’d come back and recommend camping here to anyone visiting the area.

My family and I had an amazing stay. The sunsets were beautiful, and the kids loved the pool. Jessica, the manager, was so helpful when I first booked the trip. We were very pleased!
