Del Amo Inn

The Wi-Fi was painfully slow, and the air conditioner didn’t work. There was mold in the bathrooms, only one full-size bath towel, and they wouldn’t bring more even when we asked. The front desk didn’t answer. Horrible.

BUGS, bugs everywhere. Save your money and don’t stay here. Our room was filthy and falling apart, and there were no parking spaces at night. They basically told us to figure it out. Customer service was terrible too. The AC in our room didn’t work. We were told it would be replaced the next day, but it never was. The walls, bed, curtains, and ceiling were all breaking apart. After a long day, we tried to heat up food in the microwave and found rotting food from a previous guest with bugs all over it. When we called, they wouldn’t remove it or move us to another room, and told us to check out instead. After arguing, I got a refund, but had to take the microwave out myself and leave it by the door. The smell stayed in the room. Torrance is beautiful, but this motel needs to be demolished.

For the price, this was a great experience. It was quiet for the area, and if you do Uber Eats, it’s a good spot to wait for trips. The gentleman at the check-in lobby was kind and really understanding, and his greeting alone was a big help. I’ll definitely be back to this motel more often.

The location was good and the staff were nice, but the building needs to be demolished and rebuilt. There was no smoke detector, the AC outlet looked like it had been through a fire, and there were holes in the walls and in the ceiling above the shower. The bathroom door had graffiti on it, and the mattress drooped over the base. There are no extras, not even in-room coffee. You have to walk a block to 7-11 for coffee or anything else. The refrigerator was large, cool, and working, and the microwave and TV worked too. At night there were so many strange noises that it was hard to sleep. Next time we’ll spend a little more and stay at the Hilton down the street.
