Torrance Inn LAX Airport Area

We checked out early because of the bugs, mold, and how staff handled our complaints. The cleaning lady didn’t seem interested when I told her, and nobody offered to spray or asked about the room. They didn’t seem to care that we were upset. We stayed here before and after a cruise to save money. Before leaving for the cruise, I noticed itchy spots and bites on my leg and back. After the cruise, we lasted about an hour in the room before I found a bed bug crawling on me. There had already been two bugs on the wall and one on me, plus a small roach on the wall. The bathroom had mold, and I’ve seen other reviews mention mold in other bathrooms too. There was also a man in gym shorts and a tank top arriving with plastic bags. I wondered if he was homeless or had bed bugs, but I don’t know. Either way, this place needs a lot of improvement and an inspection. Never again will I go cheap on a hotel. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Fine if you’re traveling for work or just need somewhere to sleep, but I wouldn’t choose it for a vacation. They had no towels, and getting fresh ones turned into a hassle. The hair dryer was broken, ventilation was poor, and the A/C was janky. I wouldn’t pay more than $70-80 a night.

We weren’t sure how long we’d need to stay while dealing with a family emergency, and they extended our booking day by day without hesitation. My sister and I were in town because of the emergency, and the hotel was affordable and close to the hospital. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, from the front desk to housekeeping. The room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. We’re grateful for the extra care during such a difficult time. Thank you, Torrance Inn. We’ll always appreciate what you did for us.

Check-in was easy, and the place was super clean and quiet even with renovations going on. It was close to where I needed to be. I really liked staying here and would definitely come back.
