The pool has been closed since 2020, according to the sign, and staff said it needs repairs. The room was set to 66 degrees, and I couldn't switch off the fan or AC because the remote needed a new battery. The TV wouldn't come on either, and an outlet needed fixing. Breakfast was rough: what I thought was oatmeal turned out to be separated sausage gravy, and the Danish I tried was stale and dry. Even the coffee was instant from a machine. I won't stay here again or recommend it.

I could hear TVs, conversations, and doors slamming well into the early morning, so it was a noisy stay. The bed was okay and the room was clean, though it could use some upkeep. I was here for work and had asked for an upper floor, but the desk agent struggled to find my reservation and assigned me a first-floor accessible room instead. I didn't make an issue of it. The advertised hot, fresh breakfast wasn't edible, so I went to the McDonald's next door. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't good either.

We came back for a second stay after another hotel turned out worse. On that return, the pet treats and little rules letter we'd gotten for our dogs the first time weren't there. Later I noticed another $300 missing from my account. When I asked for it back right away, they first said they don't hold money, then pointed to checkout as the earliest it could be returned after I showed them the sign saying funds are held. I got frustrated and was told to leave. I'm still waiting for all my money back. The first stay had already included an extra $120 charge, which they called a deposit and said would return in 7-10 business days. They post a sign about holding money, but give no warning otherwise. Several coworkers had the same issue, so it seems to happen often. We were there with family for a work trip twice in one week. The place was generally clean when we arrived, rooms mostly clean, and the staff generally friendly. At the first check-in they gave our pets treats and a cute letter explaining their rules. The pool is closed, and they don't plan to repair it, which ought to be reflected in the price. The rooms are mostly clean, but the tub is unsafe and mold is starting on the bathroom ceiling. It's not as bad as at other properties, but enough that I'd recommend staying elsewhere. Riverstone Inn has the same owners and a much worse mold problem.

It's an unusual place, and the rooms were clean, but clearly not maintained well. For example, the outlets guests can use are so worn that chargers won't plug in. It works if you just need somewhere to sleep, though I'd look for a better-kept hotel or one that's been updated since the 2000s.
