We left with black feet from walking on the torn carpet. The bathroom ceiling was falling apart, the TV and headboard had handprints and greasy marks, and the towels were stained. The whole place was very dirty and needed attention everywhere. Staff were incredibly rude too: on our second day, with no room service, we asked for two extra towels and got scolded that each room only gets two. Renovation scraps, beds, carpeting, and tack strips sat in the hallway for days. Garbage cans were overflowing, and cardboard signs were hanging on doors. I would never recommend this place. For a two-star motel, it's the worst I've stayed at. I can't understand the positive reviews.

We came in because of the cold, but the man running the place was creepy and wouldn't help us. There was hardly any bedding on the bed, and when we asked for extra blankets he flat-out refused. Zero stars.

The view is pretty, but otherwise it's only somewhere to sleep. Breakfast is just bread or dry cereal, with no milk, and the juices taste like watered-down water. The onsite “bar” wasn't open.

We've made this hotel our stop for the annual hunting trip for 27 years. The owners are very nice and quick to try to sort out any problems. The rooms are adequate, the beds really comfortable, and ours had nice updated laminate hardwood floors. What let us down was getting no maid service during our three-day stay.

The rooms were roomy, clean, and comfortable, and the price was affordable. What really stood out was the welcoming, friendly staff, who went out of their way to meet our needs. I'd definitely recommend it, even just for the people working there.
