Suburban Extended Stay Hotel Airport

We had to leave much earlier than planned because of breathing problems and serious health concerns. The non-smoking room smelled persistently of cigarettes and cannabis, and air freshener didn’t cover it. The floors and linens looked like they hadn’t been cleaned, and bugs seemed to be thriving there. I left with more bites than memories. Staff were polite, but that didn’t make the place feel any less neglected, more like a storage unit than somewhere to rest. The online photos showed a welcoming retreat, which wasn’t what we found. If you want adventure in the form of getting through a stay, this may be it. For comfort, I’d look elsewhere.

Probably the best value around. The room was nice and clean, the shower and bed were great, and the staff were fantastic. The neighborhood’s more hood than neighbor, but just don’t sleep outside naked.

The room smelled bad, and I was horrified by how dirty it was. The beds were filthy, the tub had mold, and there were dirty towels shoved under the sink. The TV was broken and leaning against the wall. We’d booked two nights but didn’t stay two minutes. She didn’t seem surprised by the complaint. To their credit, they gave us the refund without any trouble.

We were trying to save money on vacation, so my boyfriend and I booked four nights, Wednesday through Sunday. The room was dirty when we arrived and looked like it hadn’t even been vacuumed. We didn’t complain because we’d kept our expectations low for the price. On Friday afternoon, after a day out, we came back to find everything gone: our clothes, suitcases, and groceries from the fridge. The room looked ready for the next guest. We rushed to the office, worried and confused. The woman at the desk asked if we were staying in a different room and called someone to locate our things. Her computer showed us assigned to another room, even though we’d been there for two days. She eventually opened a door behind the office, where our belongings had been tossed into garbage bags. She couldn’t explain why we’d been checked into the wrong room, why there was no record of it, or why our things had been removed. She said someone had tried calling us several times, but nobody had. After that, the place felt shady and unsafe. We grabbed our things, checked out, and asked for a refund. She refunded the two nights we weren’t staying, but when we called to speak to a manager, she said nobody would be available until 3 PM the next day. We felt violated and upset, and ended up on the road looking for somewhere last-minute. After checking into another hotel that night, we realized some of our belongings were still missing. We returned the following day and a manager handed us a bag with some of the things. When I showed him a photo of another missing bag, the housekeeper beside him said “basuda” and gestured as though throwing something away. She admitted in front of us and the manager that she had thrown our belongings in the trash. It was a limited edition concert bag worth well over $200, and the manager refused to compensate us. This ruined what was meant to be a relaxing vacation, and now we have to file a police report about our stolen items.
