Townsend River Breeze Inn

This older motel has been completely and tastefully remodeled, and our room was very clean and comfortable. There are several restaurants nearby, and access to Great Smoky Mountain National Park is close and easy, without the crowds and traffic congestion you see in other areas. We enjoyed our few days here and will stay again when we return.

I was dreading the stay after having to look for a vacancy during New Year’s, when places were either full or overpriced. I remembered someone recommending this place, called, and paid over the phone. Opening the door changed my mood completely. I love the warm, inviting decor, and the room was cleaner than a big-name hotel I’d stayed at down the road the night before. The comfortable king bed gave me a wonderful night’s sleep. This hidden gem feels like somewhere I could stay forever. I’ll be back!

It was quiet and well priced, with easy access to the tourist areas without being caught up in the chaos. The hotel is older, but very clean and well maintained. Our room was nicely decorated and had a microwave and fridge.

My family and I were on vacation in the Smoky Mountains, and our first stop was Townsend River Breeze Inn, booked through Booking.com. On arrival, they gave me the keys to a handicap room with a very strong Febreze smell and a urine odor at the back. We asked for another room, but were refused, so we checked out. I had to dispute the advance charge with my credit card company to get the money refunded.
