Blossom Hotel & Suites Traverse City

The staff are friendly, and the lobby feels cozy and inviting. The pool itself is decent, and the hot tub is nice and hot, but the pool room has so much chlorine that your eyes start burning after 15 minutes, and it gets worse the longer you stay. The rooms are tiny, the beds are super uncomfortable, and the shower only gets warm-ish, not hot. It's very dated, and a west-facing room looks out onto the back of a dingy motel. Breakfast is cereal, a waffle maker, hard-boiled eggs, and yogurt. It feels like the bare minimum to check the included-breakfast box. This works if you're on a budget, but if you expect higher standards, this isn't the hotel for you.

The rooms are fine for the price and location, and it's quiet, which is really nice. Housekeeping is by request only, so the promise not to disturb you is welcome. We booked mainly to swim, but the pool was awful. The smell was like a dirty sauna, with no ventilation. The moisture seems to be soaking the wood so badly that it looks like it's rotting. The pool felt slimy, so we never got in. I put my feet in the hot tub for five minutes, then it felt too gross and we went back to the room for the night. Pretty disappointing. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fair price, and we'd definitely come back. The staff were super friendly, our clean Jacuzzi room had a comfortable bed, and the pool and spa areas were clean and nice. Breakfast was decent, too.

I stayed with three of my grandkids, and we had an amazing time. The front desk staff were gracious, and the lobby fireplace made the place feel inviting. We relaxed in the pool and hot tub, but the breakfast stood out most. My grandsons and I agree, it was easily the best complimentary hotel breakfast we've had. The breakfast attendant was warm and friendly. A ten-out-of-ten experience.
