The staff were so friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. The place feels fairly new and was very clean throughout. My room had a fridge, microwave, and hair dryer, plus a nicely sized bathroom. It’s close to the main area too. I’d definitely stay here again.
The room itself was nice, with a bathroom, fridge, microwave, closet, and even four coat hooks on the wall. Breakfast was great, and Karen? was a lovely person to chat with each morning. Most of the staff were friendly, and overall this is a really nice hotel. But what happened during my 13-day work stay left me uneasy, especially as a woman traveling alone. About halfway through the trip I was having a lazy day because I felt like I might have a virus. Around 10:30-11, someone knocked hard twice. It wasn’t housekeeping. I couldn’t make out much of what they said apart from “they were doing a wellness check.” I looked through the peephole before opening the door. The person wasn’t wearing a hotel uniform, and I couldn’t see a name tag. They had a colorful clipboard and said they were checking on “us” to see if “we” were okay. I told them it was just me and I was fine, then closed the door. Later, when I was heading out, I told the woman at the front desk how disturbing it had been. She seemed confused, as if she didn’t know this was happening at the hotel. She confirmed they would have entered my room if I hadn’t opened the door, even though I had a DND sign up. She offered to get a manager, and I said yes. I heard her explain the situation, then she returned with several explanations, including that they’d been looking for their luggage cart. The older front desk woman was nice, but seemed confused and was guessing at what had happened. The housekeeping manager never came out to speak with me. I told them I’d never experienced anything like it, that it made me really uncomfortable, and asked them to stay out of my room. I had the sign up because I wanted my space and belongings left alone during a long stay. I also said a housekeeper could have knocked to ask whether I needed anything, since it had been a week without service, and done a wellness check that way. The troubling part was that this person wasn’t identified, or at least wasn’t clearly identified. If finding another hotel and packing up to move during my last week in TC hadn’t been such a hassle, I would have left.
There’s a roomy lobby where you can relax with friends, and the outdoor hot tub was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast and coffee were good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Karm made the morning breakfast buffet run smoothly and was especially friendly. The rooms were clean, the amenities felt updated, and the staff were welcoming. A great experience all around, and I’ll be back next time I’m in town.
We were there for the first time, and my husband, our 18-month-old, and I all enjoyed the continental breakfast that came with the stay. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, the food was good, and it’s close to downtown. Everyone was professional and sweet, from Gigi at the front desk to Alex and the cleaning ladies. They made it a really nice, kind place to stay. I highly recommend it.
