Parking was harder than reviews suggested. The lot across the alley fills early, street parking is limited to 10 hours, as are most public lots, and the other spots we found were a half-mile walk away. I wouldn't stay here again, even if somewhere else costs more. The price is fine, but you get what you pay for, and that's about it. There's no luggage stand, so suitcases go on the bare floor. The sofa is uncomfortable, there's only one chair, and the queen platform bed has small, fairly soft pillows. The two bedside tables are about a foot square, barely big enough for a phone. The sink vanity gives two people very little room. Despite being called fully stocked, the kitchen isn't equipped for cooking a real meal. There are pots and pans but no baking sheet, one salad bowl, one colander, and one wine glass. It does have 12 coffee cups and about as many regular glasses. If you're skiing, this place isn't for you; there's nowhere for friends to sit, and pizza or frozen food has nowhere to go except the oven rack, where cheese melts everywhere. When we asked about a pizza pan and cutter, they said those were premium items. Scissors were premium too, and apparently dry towels were as well. We found our bath towels under the sink, still wet, after our morning shower. This place is investor-owned by people living in California. I'd stay somewhere else and support Traverse City instead.

We had a great time, and the room was good. The location is nice, close to downtown. The one thing we didn't like was looking out at a tarp and construction equipment through the windows and patio door. It would also be nice if parking were available in the future. Everything is white, though, so I wouldn't bring kids.

This was our first trip to Traverse City, and it was a great experience. The room was spacious and very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were also close to almost everything, and the host communicated really well and was attentive. The one downside is parking. You can use the neighboring lot from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m., then need to move to metered street parking by 7. In late fall, finding a spot was easy, but I imagine it would be much harder in summer. I'd stay again, definitely a 10/10 overall.

I stayed downtown before an early flight and would check availability here again on future trips to TC. You can park next door for free if you leave before 7 a.m.

The location was perfect, just a one- or two-minute walk from the best spots and the beach, and the price was amazing. The place was super clean and really nice. They thought of everything except washcloths. I highly recommend staying here, and we'll be back.
