Bilmar Beach Resort

The beach and water view was nice, but that was the only thing here that matched what was advertised. I won't be back. The room felt far from code compliant, with maybe 18 inches or less to squeeze between the bed and wall. The bathroom was disgusting, with dirty, broken tiles, and we had problems with the TV and WiFi. The water was shut off several times without warning. Parking was awful too, since overflow parking meant going across the street to Walgreens on the corner. Housekeeping was rude. When we asked if they could return in 10 minutes so we could finish getting dressed, the worker gave us a dirty look and walked away. Outside, loud motorcycles kept passing on their way to the open air bar across the street, where the volume was like a concert. We could hear every word and scream from there. The view didn't make up for all the other problems.

The updated room looked beautiful, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. We were glad to have a double room, which gave our family a bit of privacy, and the small kitchenette was just right for quick snacks. Beach access was great, and the take-a-toy, leave-a-toy setup was a big bonus with young kids. The staff were incredibly kind. We felt welcome and relaxed from the moment we arrived. It was a wonderful family vacation over Christmas.

The room was clean, lovely, and picturesque, and I made sure housekeeping knew we appreciated her hard work. We were here for a wedding and had a memorable weekend, from check in through check out. The staff were so nice and happy to help, answer questions, or just BS with us. A special cheers to Luis, Nick, Avi, Denise, Harry, Renee and Tori, who worked the wedding or helped make our stay memorable. They all deserve an extra bonus in their next checks! Thank you, Bilmar. I'm a local, but I'll make this my go to whenever I need to stay in Treasure Island or someone asks me where to stay. I'll see you again soon.

We had a great stay. The only downside was the shower pressure was weak, and it took a while for the water to warm up. Start it before you plan to get in, though, and once warm it stayed that way for a while. The room was clean, with a nice kitchenette, and the staff were kind and helpful. The place felt modern, calm, and relaxing. The bar had a great vibe, and the bartender was friendly and helpful. My husband and I enjoyed cornhole and the Jenga setup in the upstairs hangout area. The pool was warm, which was great on colder nights. Sloppy joes had amazing food at a great price compared with other restaurants nearby.
