Tahitian Beach Resort

The service was fantastic and very pleasant, the price seemed fair, and the room felt like a well-kept apartment. I liked the lighting and the old beach amenities. These places in the area are older and people appreciate their originality. The room itself was awesome, and all in all we had a great experience. A few details could be better: they charged $25 for checking in one hour later, which felt like a lot. The beds were okay but could be more comfortable, and the pillows were terrible, too puffy and not soft. The towels looked like they'd been washed 2.5 million times and were drier than the Sahara. Fixing those small things could make for a better guest experience and support charging more.

There was lots to do outdoors, with relaxing spaces and plenty of different games. The heated pools were nice when the ocean was a little too chilly for me. Staff were wonderful, and the snack bar served great food at reasonable prices. The location was very convenient. Parking was confusing at first, but no problem once we figured it out. Rooms were a little small, but very cute.

We came back for the first time since the remodel, and it was outstanding. The new owners are keeping this old-school Florida beach resort alive with some nice upgrades. The renovated rooms look great, and the outside has been refreshed too. The pool was heated and in very good shape, and the front desk and bar area is really cool. It was peaceful with no children there while we stayed. Rates were on point. Bikes were available, but we brought our own, and they kindly gave us a first-floor room so we could keep the bikes inside. There was a pool table and foosball in our courtyard. The only thing that would make it better is making it adults-only.

We liked The Tahitian, and the staff were helpful and nice throughout. After we arrived and realized our booked room was far too small for our family, we paid to move to a larger one. They got us switched within 20 minutes, which was great. The new room was clean, spacious, and nice, and we enjoyed having a kitchen. The room lock malfunctioned, though, and we had to wait in the heat while they fixed it. They worked as quickly as they could, but it wasn't ideal with our hot kids wanting to get into the A/C. The guest games were great for our kids, and the Friday night movie by the pool was a nice surprise. The pool furniture was good quality but not very comfortable. We also appreciated the on-site bar, and enjoyed Ricky Ts, a delicious restaurant nearby. The location was great for stores, though the walk to the beach felt a bit long. We liked the boardwalk and being poolside. Parking was very crowded, and once we had to park across a busy street with our two small kids. That only happened once. Another family's reunion was happening during our stay, and they'd pretty much taken over without much care for other vacationers. It was annoying, though outside the resort's control. The bed pillows were too much and not comfortable, so I didn't sleep well. I'm giving it four stars because of the couple of things I mentioned.
