Knights Inn Trevose

I checked in and checked out right away. The room smelled awful, like cigarettes and other odors, and had cigarette holes in the bed, dirty walls, and trash left by the previous guest on the floor. They gave no refund and no apology, and the staff were absolutely rude. This was the most disgusting motel I’ve ever been to. If I could give negative stars, I would. Stay away, and don’t bring your family or children here.

I left without cleaning up. The room felt unsafe, with a gap between the front door and lock that looked like it had been broken into before. There was just one sheet for a blanket in winter, and a rug covering the bed. The shower curtain had a blood or poo stain, with stains on the outer tub too, and the floor was very gross. The largest towels were kid sized.

For a place that cost about $95 even after booking online and saving a few dollars, the price was outrageous. I might’ve felt less scammed if it had cost as much as $50. The staff were okay, and the ice machine worked. The TV came on, but there was no guide and some channels weren’t available. The AC worked, though I doubt its temperature reading was right. I don’t usually think 72F is warm enough to need it. Both comforters had burn holes, and the non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Something vermin-like made noise at night while we were trying to sleep. It wasn’t too bad for a crack motel, and they even have narcan in the lobby in case of an overdose.

I haven’t actually had a chance to stay here. I looked into the place mainly to learn about an unincorporated community I used to visit fairly often as a teenager. Back then I was in the early stages of developing a science fiction, fantasy, and coming-of-age novel series, which I wrote and self-published over ten years ago. It’s called Sky fighters and houndy crunchers!! One interesting part of researching the community was meeting a young man, maybe a few months to a year older than me.
