Inn at Lincoln Square

I loved the location and the historic feel, and was excited to try the Inn after staying at several other places in Gettysburg. At first I thought our room was a win and told friends and family they should try it too. A few hours later, I took that recommendation back. The Irene suite had no hot water in the shower, so we were stuck with cold showers at the end of December. The bathroom also filled with a sewer gas smell when we ran one particular sink, and it carried into the living room. Between that and the cold water, it seems like there may be plumbing problems. The room itself was clean and the fireplace was lovely, but it’s a shame the stay ended on such a bad note. This place has a lot of potential, though for me it really was a two-star hotel.

It’s a nice, quiet place, especially if you like old buildings. Our room had one small TV, so let the kids know ahead of time they may have to rough it, lol.

The room was great overall, with a few minor cleaning issues. It’s an old house, so there are noises from upstairs. If you’re expecting that, you’ll love staying here.

We stayed in the beautiful Irene room, and I’d definitely come back. The innkeeper was kind, quick to respond, and helpful with every question I had. It’s a perfect spot.
