We found plenty of places to eat nearby, which made the location handy. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the back patio was a nice spot to unwind. There are grills there too if you want to cook.

When I checked out, the bill showed $270, but they charged my card $350. They said they hold an extra 20% and would refund it within four weeks. Four weeks later, only $50 had been refunded. None of this was explained on the checkout invoice, so keep their billing policy in mind. I had booked two rooms two months ahead, then changed the reservation to one room a month before the stay. They said they needed to refresh the rates to the current price, and that made my room rate go up.

We made good use of the patio during our family stay. It has an electric fire pit and two BBQs. The rooms and washrooms had been newly renovated, and the fresh coffee was the highlight of our vacation. The whole place was a perfect setting for our trip.

The breakfast is a big part of the deal for me, especially when I'm paying $180, about $80 more than an average hotel. It should include the full breakfast that's advertised. At places like this one, items such as muffins, bagels, fruit, and bacon have been missing. They usually alternate bacon with sausage every other day, but lately some locations haven't had the products. I've stayed at holiday inn express for a couple of years. Some are being remodeled, but I've never had a bad room. The breakfast used to be great. And what was that response the owners just added to my review? A template? Was it going to be an auto response? Now I'm rethinking my membership. What gives!!! ???
