Tina was warm and welcoming, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was wonderful, and she clearly does a great job managing the place. The house has a lot of character, which made the stay interesting. There was some city noise, but it was reasonable. I also found no sign of bedbugs or other insects, despite what some earlier reviews said. I stayed one night in early October 2025. As I was leaving, Tina asked if I’d come back to Troy, and I definitely would stay here again if I do. She recommends calling directly to book instead of using Booking.com or a similar site, since the rate will be better.

Tina, the owner, made our visit from arrival to departure. She knows so much about local festivals, the farmers market, restaurants, and old Troy history. Her hearty breakfast was great, especially the blueberry pancakes, which you have to try. My daughter and I found the Olde Judge Mansion by chance while looking for a place to stay in the area for my high school reunion in August. We stayed in the Urzan room. It and the whole historic house were bright, clean, warm, and welcoming. There were plenty of extra towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows if needed. Despite what some other reviews said, the neighborhood was very quiet. I’d absolutely recommend staying here and hope to return. Call the B&B directly to check availability. You won’t be disappointed.

Tina is a thoughtful, attentive, and friendly hostess who made sure our requests were taken care of. The house is beautiful and full of history, and she knows a lot about Troy. Breakfast was a highlight, with hot dishes of our choice, far beyond a basic continental spread. We spent two nights in town for a wedding and would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

Tina was helpful and easy to work with when I called for rates and details. The Olde Judge mansion has gorgeous architecture and a cozy, lived-in feel, almost like stepping into another time. She put out plenty of things for a homemade breakfast, plus snacks, and there was coffee and tea to get the morning going. We also enjoyed the conversation and stories. Marc and I would gladly stay again.

If you want a personal, “mi casa es su casa” kind of stay, this is a good fit. The host gets to know you and makes a hot breakfast to order. It’s old-fashioned hospitality, the kind where an innkeeper welcomes travelers with real warmth. People looking for anonymous rooms and impersonal service may prefer somewhere else.
