Rocket Inn

I used to go to Elephant Butte every other summer as a kid, and the Rocket Inn always caught my eye. I was curious about it, but it stayed shut down for a long time before being remodeled and reopening in recent years. For this Thanksgiving weekend, we finally got a room there while going to Rivebend Hot Springs. Loved the room, service, and location. We'll stop by again!

We spent several days here and had a really enjoyable visit. The staff were helpful, polite, and conscientious, and the rates were very reasonable. The newly renovated rooms have pleasant decor with "retro" touches. Thanks again to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We'd highly recommend it to anybody.

A really nice vintage motel in T or C, kept very clean and run by helpful people. The only slight downside was a faint smell in my room, like it may have been smoked in at some point. Still, it's a great place to stay and I'd come back.

After a backpacking trip, we were tired and very dirty, so having a clean bathroom was a real relief. The room was clean too, with hardwood floors and cute bedding. We had a reserved parking spot, and downtown was also within walking distance. The owner(?) was a very sweet woman who seemed to genuinely enjoy her job. She greeted us at the desk, showed us a town map and suggested places to go, then walked us to the room and showed us how to use the AC unit.
