Best Western Cleveland Inn & Suites

Room 325 was a huge letdown for the price. There was no spare bedding, the AC barely worked, and it kept tripping the breaker. I had to call twice to get it reset since I couldn’t do it myself. The pool was okay, nothing special. The room had bugs, at least 25 during my one-night stay, and the water pressure was awful, especially for a top-floor room. One out of every three outlets didn’t work, so I had to charge my phone by the TV. There were broken tiles in the bathroom, no ceiling lights, and a joint wrapper behind the toilet. At least the towels were clean, except for one left on the floor by the previous guest. I noticed the lack of lights and the bugs as soon as I walked in. If you’re in a pinch it might do, but I wouldn’t choose it if you have another option.

The refrigerator in our room didn’t work, which mattered because my wife needed to keep her insulin cold. The staff offered us use of the kitchen unit, though, and were very helpful and accommodating. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it seemed fairly new, clean, and neat. Getting there was a little difficult. The free breakfast was good.

During the January 2026 freeze, I tried to rent a room for my family and me, but they wouldn’t let me book without adding a $100 deposit. They claimed I’d rented from them before and smoked in the room. I told them I’d never rented from Best Western, but when I called to check, nobody could show me proof or give me an answer. They said management only works weekends.

A pipe broke and left everyone in the hotel without water for the evening. There was also a power outage, so the refrigerator and alarm clock stopped working. The bathtub had black mold. When I raised the problems, the desk agent seemed unconcerned and even said, “Well, maybe you shouldn’t have booked here.”
